In September 2018 London Theatre Consortium organised our first Artists Climate Lab: a week-long creative residency rooted in climate art and sustainable practice, curated and led by LTC’s Creative Climate Leaders.
Held at Hawkwood College, Stroud – a centre for future thinking – this was a unique week of artist-led professional development for a cohort of theatre makers selected by Artistic Directors of LTC’s member theatres.

The London Theatre Consortium Artists Climate Lab was funded by Arts Council England and supported by Hawkwood College.
The LTC Artists Climate Lab initiative is a legacy of three LTC staff members attending the Julie’s Bicycle / PINA Creative Climate Leadership course in Slovenia in October 2017. Alongside LTC’s long-standing collaboration with Julie’s Bicycle on carbon reduction, this project is another milestone for the impact and influence of Julie’s Bicycle and the partnership they offer.
